Move out
Here are some tips on what you need to arrange before and when you move out.
Leave notice before moving out
The notice period is always three full months. The dismissal is made in writing at Studentbostäder’s reception at Locus.
Example: If you resign your residence on March 15, the notice will be counted on April 1st. You should therefore have moved by the end of June.
Move out
When moving out, consider the following:
- All keys must be submitted to Studentbostäder’s reception no later than. 12:00 on the day of departure. If the day of relocation falls on a Saturday, Sunday or other public holiday, relocation may take place next weekday.
- Any equipment that you put away must be put back in the house. If something is missing, you will be liable.
- Any furniture that you have set aside must return to the property.
- Empty housing and storage space of your belongings. Also the patio and balcony are emptied and cleaned by you. If you have a common kitchen, your belongings, incl. food is removed.
Inspection
Book an appointment about 14 days before you plan to move out.
Cleaning
Remember to clean the home carefully when moving out so that a new tenant can move in directly. If you have not properly cleaned or damaged the interior, you will be charged.
Relocation report and address change
When moving, you must make a transfer notification to the Swedish Tax Agency so that you get the correct registration address. Make your registration in advance or no later than one week after the move. The Tax Agency spreads your new address to many authorities and companies.
Make your transfer notification and address change to: www.skatteverket.se/studentflytt
Remember to notify your new adress to friends and acquaintances, your insurance company and other private contacts. Also register your new address for Studentbostäder. If you want to forward your mail to your new adress (in Sweden) notify: www.adressandring.se
Terminate any subscriptions or request removal in good time before relocation.
