Shared responsibility
Our shared spaces become so much nicer if we all help to take care of them. Here is some information about what is valid, for everyone’s well-being.
Several of our student residences have common premises. There are, for example, a living room, kitchen, study room, group room, laundry rooms, exercise room, bicycle room.
Cleaning
The tenants themselves take care of keeping order in the communal kitchens, the meeting rooms and the laundry rooms. We make regular checks, that the common premises are clean and pleasant.
At the reception at Locus there are light bulbs, brushes, dishcloths etc. You can pick one up if you need.
Shared kitchen
Tenants who share the kitchen have a shared responsibility for keeping it clean and tidy. Be sure to arrange order in the refrigerator, stove and oven for you.
A good idea is to have a kitchen meeting with everyone at the beginning of each semester, to meet new neighbors and agree on the management of the kitchen. One tip is to put together a kitchen schedule for the semester.
The kitchens include: kitchen table and chairs, curtains, cleaning utensils, recycling cabinets with sorting trays, fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, stove and fire alarm.
Public spaces
Stairwells, corridors, basement doors and elevator plan are escape routes and it is therefore forbidden to set bicycles and store things here for fire protection and accident reasons. For your security, we make regular checks. If there are things blocking, they will be removed
Household waste and recycling
Much of the waste we throw away can be recycled and used again. The sorting of waste is therefore an important contribution to the environment. It is also part of our environmental plan to increase the recycling in our residential areas as much as possible.
Garbage is sorted and carried out to the recycling/garbage building where there are containers for residual/burnable waste, compostable waste, batteries, light bulbs etc. Newspapers, glass jars and bottles are placed in the recycling station.
Laundry
As a tenant you have access to a laundry room. Time is booked on the booking board.
The laundry room is shared by you and your neighbors. For the sake of well-being, it is therefore important to leave the laundry room clean and tidy.
